Harriet’s Apothecary at First Saturdays at Brooklyn Museum 03/07/15

Harriet’s Apothecary

With the deepest sense of gratitude and joy I am happy to announce that the healing collective I belong to, Harriet’s Apothecary, has been asked to curate a version of Harriet’s for Brooklyn Museum’s First Saturdays series. The collective is the brain child of Adaku Utah, a community healer and revolutionary. Harriet’s is named in the spirit of  Harriet Tubman, a Black activist and leader that helped to free slaves during the 1800’s, she was a herbalist, healer and a visionary.

This is the first time Brooklyn Museum will be holding an intentional healing space at First Saturdays and it will be led by the cis and transgender Black folks of Harriet’s Apothecary.  We are expecting to co-create a beautiful healing space for all that don upon our doors.

We would love it if you would join us as we embark on this breathtaking journey, please mark your calendars  for March 7th at Brooklyn Museum.
